چکیده

Software Agents communicate by exchanging messages formulated in an Agent Communication Language. In order to facilitate communication and understanding of each other, the domain of discourse of heterogeneous agents should be described in an explicit ontology. Both, the Agent Communication Language and the ontology definition, are independent of the implementation of agents. Furthermore the content of messages should be formulated in a standardized content language. So the content of messages and the representations of ontologies have to be transformed into a format that can be interpreted by an agent. Today many agents are implemented using Java technology. This paper presents a generic parser called fiParse that enables developers of Java-based agents to create representations of ontologies, namely Java classes and standardised message content that can be interpreted by their agents and is compliant to the FIPA standards. Inter-agent communication in a FIPA compliant intelligent distributed dynamic-information system

This paper describes a traffic surveillance system as a particular case of the class of intelligent distributed dynamic-information systems (IDDIS). The Traffic Surveillance System is a vision-based FIPA compliant multi-agent system that uses the FIPA Agent Communication Language (ACL) and the FIPA Semantic Language (SL). The focus of the work is inter-agent communication and coordination. We h...

Considerations on Secure Fipa Compliant Agent Architecture

In the paper proposed secure architecture is FIPA compliant in the sense that every common FIPA compliant agent should be able to interact with agents having this extended architecture even not knowing the security mechanisms. On the other hand, agents demanding for security can, of course, refuse plain, non secured communication with non authenticated agents, etc. The security mechanisms can u...

Mobile-C: a mobile agent platform for mobile C/C++ agents

This article presents the design, implementation and application of Mobile-C, an IEEE Foundation for Intelligent Physical Agents (FIPA) compliant agent platform for mobile C/C++ agents. IEEE FIPA standards are a set of specifications designed to ensure the interoperation between agents in a heterogeneous network. Mobile-C conforms to the FIPA standards both at agent and platform level. Mobile-C...

XML-based agent communication, migration and computation in mobile agent systems

This article presents the research work that exploits using XML (Extensible Markup Language) to represent different types of information in mobile agent systems, including agent communication messages, mobile agent messages, and other system information. The goal of the research is to build a programmable information base in mobile agent systems through XML representations. The research not onl...

Communication and migration of an embeddable mobile agent platform supporting runtime code mobility

In this paper we present the design and the implementation of Mobile-C, an IEEE Foundation for Intelligent Physical Agents (FIPA) compliant agent platform for mobile C/C++ agents. Such compliance ensures the interoperability between a Mobile-C agent and other agents from heterogeneous FIPA compliant mobile agent platforms. Also, the Mobile-C library was designed to support synchronization in or...
